Senior Mine Long Term Planning Engineer

This position will be involved with long-term planning/ scheduling at a mine that has been operational for many years in both open pit and underground and has a mine life to 2030 with expansion projects. The suitable candidate will report to the Mine Manager/Mine Technical Services Manager and be responsible for maintaining the long-term schedule of ail the mining projects and operations.

• Long term scheduling development and maintain life-of-mine production and development schedules.
• Mine resource management, ability to understand available and required resources to schedule execution to maximise effectiveness and efficiency.
• ldentify hazards and risks at early stages and eliminate or engineer controls at the design level.
• Coverage of relevant roles as required.

Requirements :

• Bachelor of Science (Mine Engineering)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in underground mine engineering
• Demonstrated experience with planning, scheduling, ventilation, Drill & Blast
• Any commodity/orebody experience is relevant if the candidate has an extensive underground experience.
• Experience with mine design software
• Driver's License
• Microsoft Office competent
• Managerial/Supervisory experience
• French & English language skills essential
• Experience of working effectively in a technical team environment.

• Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and build effective relationships and networks.
