We are looking for an experienced backend engineer to join our team at Product Factory/Etc. - an incubation hub.
Our team works by rapidly prototyping and testing ideas, building PoCs around exciting new technologies and taking our learnings to the business for further product development. This position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced developer who's looking to expand their knowledge and gain exposure to new technologies.

Profil recherché pour le poste : Senior Backend Engineer - Node.js About You
- We’re looking for passionate technologists who enjoy working in collaborative agile teams. You’ll need to be a clear, concise & engaging communicator with people on your team. We enjoy the big picture and the detail; we want people who excel at both.
- Strong experience (at least 5 years) developing REST APIs in node.js
- Experience working with Docker & Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of AWS platform with proven experience working & deploying solutions in the cloud
- Knowledge of AWS Lambda & API Gateway
- IaC (CloudFormation and/or Terraform)
- Working with SQL & NoSQL databases
- Experience working with express.js
- Dependency management via npm
- Secrets management (e.g. with something like KMS, and/or Vault)
- Strong understanding of security techniques (SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, assymetric cryptography, etc.)
- Unit testing / TDD experience
- Setting up CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, Github Actions, Gitlab Pipelines, etc.)
- Experience designing & architecting systems from the ground up
- Understanding of scalability and load balancing techniques
- Experience designing scalable, cost-optimal cloud applications
- Knowledge of algorithms & data structures with a focus on understanding systemic complexity which can impact system performance
- Knowledge of data architecture with a focus on scalability and avoiding performance bottlenecks
- Working with WebSockets
- Working with MQTT / PubSub
- Understanding of software design patterns and separation of concerns
- Experience designing systems and architecting applications from the ground up
- Experience working on Agile development teams
- Source control experience (git, github, gitlab, bitbucket, etc.)
- Proactive and independent whilst being able to work with others
- Pragmatic and delivery focused
- Being able to communicate well & explain complex ideas and concepts
- Able to devise ideas to verify assumptions & theories to enhance prototypes
- Creative thinking - providing solutions to product questions by leveraging available technologies
