Poste proposé : IT Network and System Administrator
ABOUT US
Endeavour Mining Exploration conducts exploration programs in West Africa. Exploration campaigns are planned according to the Group's development objectives.
The IT Network and System Administrator plays a key role in administering and maintaining the Company’s IT systems. Of crucial significance is ensuring continuity of network and server services at all times by adhering to and following prudent industry practices in software and hardware maintenance.
1- PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE
The IT Network and System Administrator is accountable for:
• Systems and Network Management
• Reporting
• Company
• Workplace Health & Safety
2- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1- Systems Management
Administration
• Ensuring that the IT Network and System Engineer is fully informed of the Company’s position with respect to IT issues.
• Provide input for the development and maintenance of strategic plans.
• Administering the company’s IT systems, ensuring the integration and security of all computer systems and applications.
Including
• Documents, diagrams, and maintains the netwok & infrastructure design, all aspects of the Company’s IT system, and policies.
• Reviews and recommends software solutions, upgrades, and modifications.
• Monitors and ensures that the approved backup management program is being undertaken.
• Monitors and ensures that the corporate internet security and intrusion detection system is effective.
• Maintains a list of all Company hardware devices, serial numbers, locations, warranty details, and servicing schedule.
• Maintains a list of all Company software applications, license data, serial numbers, upgrade information, replacement options etc.
• Is responsible for the optimal operation of the hardware, systems, and networks which he implements to ensure data integrity.
• Has a global and up-to-date view of all information systems.
Exploitation
• Validates the installation and integration of new hardware, systems, and networks into the production environment.
• Manages access rights to servers and applications based on profiles.
• Handles incidents or anomalies from internal requests: diagnosis of the incident, identification, formulation, and follow-up of its resolution.
Testing
• Guarantees that new components / systems or updated ones work as expected.
User Support
• Responds to requests and questions from users.
• Resolves incidents and optimizes system performance.
• Performs follow-up check of the outcome of the proposed solution and ensures the user is fully operational.
• Documents the process and saves the information that proves helpful in a knowledge base for future incident response.
Problem Management
• Identifies and resolves the root cause of all incidents.
• Anticipates the cause of computer problems.
• Maintains a knowledge management system based on the recurrence of common errors.
2- Reporting:
Provides required reports that address such IT issues as:
• Individual server performance, technical specification, hosting detail and storage data.
• Detail of applications operating on and within the network together with an overview of performance and related issues.
• Network performance data.
• Firewall performance data.
• UPS performance data.
• Software updates / expiry notification data.
• Wireless Network performance data.
• Acronis backup and recovery data.
3- Company:
• Be familiar with and comply with all Company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to; Code of Conduct, Fit for Work, Discrimination and Harassment.
4- Workplace Health, Safety and Environment:
• Be familiar with and comply with Company and site management safety system and be proactively involved in ensuring the objectives are implemented.
• Actively conduct and promote formal and informal risk assessments.
• Foster an OH&S “Duty of Care” attitude towards fellow personnel. Comply with all OH&S standards and requirements. Actively participating in OH&S activities.
• Comply with all Company environment and community policies, standards, and procedures.

Profil recherché pour le poste : IT Network and System Administrator
3- SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• Formal vocational or university level training in Information technology systems
• Certified ITIL and/or Microsoft, CISCO
• Certificates of training for specific information technology systems
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production, operating or support environment
• Minimum of 5 years working within the information technology industry
• Ability to methodically analyze and implement
• Ability to manage priorities and ensure deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively in an IT team
• Ability to adapt to non-technical users
• Editorial capacity, to be able to summarize actions taken
• Decision-making skills
• Sense of service and strong motivation for user satisfaction
• Very high availability and responsiveness, coupled with a strong personal commitment
• Adheres to a philosophy of discretion and confidentiality
• Spirit of initiative and autonomy in his actions, while knowing how to work in a team
• Extreme rigor and sense of organization
• Dynamism and curiosity
• Know how to be objective and adapt to difficult and / or complex situations, under pressure
• Open to a minimum of 60% travel to all exploration sites in the Group.
